Sacramento City Unified Welcomes Students to First Day of School and to Full In-Person Learning for the 2021-22 School Year
Reopens with strong health and safety protocols in place

Sacramento, CA 鈥 Today, the 麻豆原创 welcomed students back for its first day of full in-person learning at all of its 75 school sites throughout the district. It is estimated that approximately 39,000 students will attend the first day in-person for the 2021-22 academic year after more than 18 months of disrupted learning due to COVID-19.

District provides daily testing at Serna Center, other events ahead of September 2

Sacramento, CA 鈥 麻豆原创鈥檚 first day of full reopening is September 2, 2021. As part of its , the district is providing its roughly 41,000 students and 4,700 staff with testing at every one of its 75 school sites upon opening. The district also provides testing for students and staff each day at the Serna Center at 5735 47th Ave., Sacramento, CA 95824.

麻豆原创 to Honor Multilingual Graduates
582 Sac City Unified Graduates Earn the Seal of Biliteracy

SACRAMENTO - The 麻豆原创 Board of Education will recognize 582 graduates who have achieved the State Seal of Biliteracy. The Board will recognize these students at its meeting on Thursday, May 20, 2021. The Seal of Biliteracy is a recognition given by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction for graduating high school students who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. The Seal will appear on each student鈥檚 diploma.

Sacramento City Unified鈥檚 Luther Burbank High School Unveils New Baseball Field
Ribbon cutting celebrated athletics, and contributions of community members and staff

SACRAMENTO - Luther Burbank High School today hosted a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate the new baseball and upcoming softball fields. Community and school leaders attended the event to celebrate the group effort made by community members, elected officials and school staff to provide the new field for use by student athletes. The field replaces the former Burbank field that was notoriously uneven, spurring the phrase 鈥渢he Burbank hop鈥 in reference to the way the ball hopped around as it rolled across the field.
