Sacramento Schools Celebrate Read Across America Day
SACRAMENTO—Sacramento City Unified Schools are joining Read Across America celebrations across the country. Fans of beloved children’s author Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, will celebrate his 113th birthday on Thursday, March 2, 2017. His books and influence on young readers far and wide is recognized each year by The National Education Association (NEA). To celebrate reading and honor Dr. Seuss, the NEA established Read Across America Day on Dr. Seuss’ birthday as an annual nationwide celebration of reading.
