Rosemont Rallies to Support Neighborhood Schools
鈥楨ssence of Rosemont鈥 on Friday will showcase student achievement, community involvement
April 12, 2012 (Sacramento) 鈥 The Rosemont community will come together on Friday (April 13) for 鈥淓ssence of Rosemont,鈥 a giant block party designed to demonstrate support for public schools, kids and neighborhood unity.
Kids will be jumping, cheerleaders will be turning cartwheels and bands will be playing at the third annual 鈥淓ssence,鈥 event, a fun-packed evening of carnival games, bounce houses, live music and an outdoor movie on an enormous 60-foot-wide screen.
鈥淲e are so proud of our schools and so pleased that the community has rallied to show their support for our students,鈥 said 麻豆原创 Superintendent Jonathan Raymond. 鈥淭his is a great event for our kids and our parents.鈥
A throwback to old-fashioned neighborhood get-togethers, 鈥淓ssence鈥 is designed as a celebration of all 麻豆原创 schools in the Rosemont area. Expect to see student bands and drum lines playing, cheerleaders turning cartwheels and plenty of food, including slushies, ice cream, hot dogs, nachos and cotton candy.
Kids will be amped and full of energy, and not just from the cotton candy: At 鈥淓ssence,鈥 campuses compete for the coveted 鈥淢ost Spirited School鈥 award.
