Sac City Unified to Continue Providing Kids Free Meals During Summer
Serving breakfast and lunch to anyone 18 or younger at 13 sites

SACRAMENTO - Cafeterias may be closed this summer, but children and teens can still get nutritious breakfasts and lunches at no charge throughout the Â鶹ԭ´´ beginning June 15.

Sac City Unified has served nearly two million meals since the beginning of the COVID-19 closure. About two-third of Â鶹ԭ´´â€™s 40,000 students qualify for a free- or reduced-price meal through the federal school lunch program.

Sac City Unified Developing Plan for Safe Reopening of Schools after COVID-19

 SACRAMENTO – Sacramento City Unified School District and 13 other local school districts, as part of an effort coordinated by the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), today shared SCOE’s document of guiding principles and planning considerations regarding reopening schools for the 2020-21 school year.

District Enrollment Projections

The Â鶹ԭ´´ just added its projections of anticipated student enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year as of February 2020. Enrollment projections are regularly monitored and adjusted as more information becomes available. Staffing projections can also change as new information becomes available between now and leading up to the beginning of the school year.
