C.K. McClatchy Visual Art VAPA Program
Grades 9-12

Program Information

VAPA Visual Art students design and construct realistic and abstract works of art using a variety of materials, tools, and techniques.  They examine, analyze, and interpret traditional and contemporary works of art while their understanding of elements and principles of design are solidified and reinforced.  Individual and group experiences will promote problem-solving, creative thinking, and formal expression.

Program Information

The McClatchy High School VAPA Music Program is committed to the musical development of its members. Students of the program enroll in either Concert Band, Orchestra, or Choir all four years of high school. Despite emphasizing instruction through traditional music ensembles, all music-literate instrumentalists and vocalists such as guitarists and pianists are welcome to participate.

麻豆原创 Infant/Toddler program offers an enriching environment and high-quality services to families and their infants and toddlers. The program provides comprehensive services and learning experiences that support infant and toddler physical (nutrition and mental health wellness) educational, social-emotional development. Services include early identification of needs, culturally relevant curriculum and assessments, strengthening parent engagement and knowledge in the area of child development and critical milestones.

Comprehensive Sexual Health Education
California Healthy Youth Act (CHYA)

Overview

California state law, the , requires that comprehensive sexual health education and HIV prevention education be provided to students at least once in middle school and once in high school, starting in 7th grade. Instruction must encourage students to communicate with parents, guardians or other trusted adults about human sexuality. Instruction must be medically accurate, age鈥恆ppropriate and inclusive of all students. It must include the following:

Parent Participation Preschool Program

Overview

Nurturing, caring teachers will help you and your child grow to your full potential in this unique preschool setting. Our education is focused on child development, positive discipline and developmentally appropriate practices. 

Parents work in the classroom in collaboration and guidance of the teacher to help children develop a variety of skills. Parents also learn parenting techniques to use in the classroom and at home.
