CAC Information

Overview

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) acts in an advisory capacity to the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA).  The Community Advisory Committee supports individuals with exceptional needs ages 0-22 years and their families who are served by the Â鶹ԭ´´. This committee provides an opportunity for parents, professionals and other community members to provide important input as it relates to our special education programs.

Student Advisory Council (SAC)

Overview

The Youth Voice priority of the YDSS department is multifaceted. One primary program centered in cultivating youth voice is the Student Advisory Council (SAC). The SAC is a year-round program that provides an opportunity for incoming 10th-12th grade students to critically research and analyze the problems currently facing Â鶹ԭ´´ youth, and organize to take action against those problems. The SAC strives to promote student voice within the district, recognizing youth as key leaders and changemakers. 

English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC)

Overview

The English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC) makes recommendations regarding programs for students with second language needs.  The purpose of the ELAC is to provide parents of English Learners opportunities to:

School Site Council (SSC)

Overview

California Education Code 52852 requires that a school site council shall be established at each school that participates in Title I or LCFF supplemental/concentration grant funding.   The school site council shall be composed of the principal and representatives of: teachers selected by teachers at the school; other school personnel selected by other school personnel at the school; parents of pupils attending the school selected by the parents; and, in secondary schools, pupils selected by pupils attending the school.
