At the September 19 meeting of the Â鶹ԭ´´ Board, the Board recognized Vera M. Cochran, an 8th grade student at Umoja International Academy, as a Stellar Student. Vera is known for her academic excellence and community involvement. She consistently demonstrates a passion for learning, willingness to help others, and actively participates on her school’s student leadership team, where she helps organize events and initiatives to improve student life.
