Sacramento City Unified to Reveal Central Kitchen Food Truck at Farm-to-Fork Festival
Festival sales to benefit Â鶹ԭ´´ students

SACRAMENTO, CA –  On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Â鶹ԭ´´ (Â鶹ԭ´´) will debut its Central Kitchen Food Truck at the Farm-to-Fork Festival on Capitol Mall in Sacramento. Proceeds from the Central Kitchen Food Truck sales at the festival will benefit students throughout the district and offer a sneak peak at future lunch menu items provided by the Â鶹ԭ´´ Nutrition Services Department.

Sacramento City Unified Keeps Students on Campus Through Testing Program
Demonstrates extensive testing capabilities and response a key component in maintaining in-person learning through cases at New Joseph Bonnheim

Sacramento, CA – Â鶹ԭ´´ today announced the status of its response to 24 cases at New Joseph Bonnheim Charter School since its reopening on Aug. 9. While Sacramento County Public Health (SCPH) initially recommended a school closure, SCPH reversed its initial recommendation after further evaluation and consultation of the district’s capability to quickly respond with testing and staffing to provide tests to all students and staff.

Sacramento City Unified School to Provide Mandated Testing at School Site in Community with a Number of Cases of COVID-19
District will deploy rapid response team to provide hundreds of tests in one day at school site

Sacramento, CA – The Â鶹ԭ´´ oversees New Joseph Bonnheim, a dependent charter school that began in-person instruction on August 9, 2021, and is located in an area with high COVID transmission rates. The order to provide COVID tests for students came in a letter from Sacramento County Public Health (SCPH) today after 23 cases were discovered on the campus. According to SCPH, it appears more likely that transmission is occurring outside of the school campus.

Sacramento City Unified Welcomes Students to First Day of School and to Full In-Person Learning for the 2021-22 School Year
Reopens with strong health and safety protocols in place

Sacramento, CA – Today, the Â鶹ԭ´´ welcomed students back for its first day of full in-person learning at all of its 75 school sites throughout the district. It is estimated that approximately 39,000 students will attend the first day in-person for the 2021-22 academic year after more than 18 months of disrupted learning due to COVID-19.
