The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. Family and Medical Leave Act and California Family Rights Act (鈥淔MLA / CFRA鈥)
The Family and Medical Leave Act and California Family Rights Act (鈥淔MLA / CFRA鈥) provide eligible employees the opportunity to take unpaid, job-protected leave for certain specified reasons.
The maximum amount of leave an employee may use is either 12 or 26 weeks within a 12-month period depending on the reasons for the leave.
Annual Employee Notifications
The district provides employees with the Annual Employee Notifications annually and obtains signed acknowledgments that the notifications were received and read.

2004-2005 Sacramento County Teacher of the Year Carol Cleland
Although Cleland currently teaches a 3rd grade GATE class, she鈥檚 taught every level from first through fifth. In the essay she submitted for the competition, Cleland stated, 鈥淚 love teaching elementary grades because I am able to re-discover all of my favorite subjects including math, science, reading, writing and history. This age group enables me to stay young at heart.鈥

SEIU members interested in donating to the bank/pool may do so by downloading and completing the attached form.
