Private Schools

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), also known Every Child Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides benefits to low-income students enrolled in non-profit, private or not-for-profit school sites.  Public school districts are required to provide services to eligible private school students which are equitable to those provided to qualified public school students in the same district.  For more information about the Equitable Services to Private Schools program, please contact us at 643-9051.

Elementary Mandated Minutes

200 minutes every 10 school days

Ed Code 51210 states: 鈥済) Physical education, with emphasis upon the physical activities for the pupils that may be conducive to health and vigor of body and mind, for a total period of time of not less than 200 minutes each 10 schooldays, exclusive of recesses and the lunch period.
